A BRIEF REPORT “ ABOUT THE DISTRIBUTION OF NOTE BOOKS “
A program me “ Distribution of Note Books and writing materials to the students of the Flood affected families “ Was organized on 09.12.2009 in the Auditorium of Osmania Degree college (Women’s Wing) one lakh worth of materials for one thousand students at there of Rs. 100/- each.
The students of the following institutions:-
1. Osmania Degree College (Women’s Wing)
2. Osmania Junior College for Girls
3. Osmania Junior College for boys, were the beneficiaries
Selected 1000 (One thousand only) students were identified for the above programme.
Dr D.S.Basheer,M.A.M.Phil. Ph.D., retired principal acted as Co-coordinator for this programme. He met the principals of the above three institutions and got the list of selected students who actually the sufferers of the disaster. He also contacted Mrs. Azra Zaved Garu the Secretary and Correspondent of Osmania group of institutions. After listening to Dr. Basheer about the programme the whole heartedly extended her help in co-ordinating the thing for the success of the programme.
The programme was started around 11.00 A.M. in the morning and the programme was presided by Lion Lalitha Prabhakar. The Governor of the lion’s club lion Manikya Prabhu also present. The members of the Lions Club

2) Lion Appa Rao (P.R.O)
3) Lion Nagaraju (Chater President)
4) Lion Suresh (Secretary of the Club)
5) Lion M.J.Ravi Kumar (Zone Chairman)
6) Lion P.Prakasm Gupta
were present.Mrs. Azra Zaved Garu was the guest of Honor for this programme. The principal Smt.Zareena Khatoon was also present. The staff and students other then the beneficiaries were present in Large number to witness the programme. The programme went on well for nearly 2 hours.
The second phase of the programme was organized in this open ground of Osmania Junior College for Girls,Kurnool. All the office bearers of the Lions culb and the important persons including the secretary and correspondent Mrs.Azra Zaved Garu and the Co-ordinator Dr. D.S.Basheer, were present. The principal of the Osmania Junior college for girls received the guests. The material was distributed after the meeting.
The same persons were present in the third phase of the programme and after the regular proceedings the distribution of the materials was conducted.
The entire programme was gone on well and it was concluded by 2.00 PM.

Please find the Attached copies regarding flood Relief. Lions club did survey and the result of that survey was , people got immediate necessary items (such as cloths,food, utensils and so on) so they concluded its not worth giving these again and in a mean time they also got the attached letters for your consideration

I am very much delighted the way you and your friends have very kind heart in visualizing the less fortunate people who have lost everything in the recent floods in our A.P. people say it is first of its kind of effecting for the last one hundred years. It has come like sunamy and people have washed out. In this calamity even some of the rich people have lost everything. We the members of Lions Club of Anantapur are appreciating your kindness in extending your valuable contribution and concerning the effected people. We are so much enthused your willingness and expressing the sympathies from all of you and we express our sincere thanks to you all and pray God to shower the blessing and strength to have much more kindness in sympathizing on people who are less fortunate.
We emphasize that our club is evaluating a kind of plan so that every penny contributed by your hard work should utilized very effectively and it will reach to right person so as to have 100% satisfaction for your contribution. We are detecting one nook & corner of village and all our members will go over there and distribute proper person who are pre-identified with the help of concerning village heads. We are distributing very systematic by form of a kit containing all necessary things. Each kit will pasted a lable contributed by the donar. After completion of the programme all details like Photographs and C.D. will submitted to all the contributors so as to feel satisfaction for their timely help. Our club members are sincere to extend the services honestly to the best of satisfaction of contributor. I thank you once again & will come back to you soon as soon as programme is over.

The plan is to go with Lions club for this relief who are planning to donate a kit containing the below items. Lions club is going to identify a place which is severly effected by floods (in and arround Mantralyam area) and untouched by any hlep

- Dovathi (Lungi)
- sari
- Towel
- Two meal plates
- Two glasses
- Bucket
- utensils (for cooking)
- Small quantity of groceries
- Stove
